1. Richard wasn’t in the area during a confirmed Zodiac attack on December 20, 1968. He had been in Albany and then traveled to Europe during the second half of 1968.
2. Real cops, who had access to Gaikowski’s vital records ruled him out as a suspect over 20 years ago. They had access to records about his height, weight, date of arrival in San Francisco, model of car and the ability to surreptitiously get fingerprints and hand writing samples.

Check page 371. They black the names out, but they are talking about Blaine accusing Richard back in 1988. In 1991, Blaine even turned in an envelope and card and some code solution thing that Blaine was accusing Richard of making. Blaine accusing Richard of the code solution book was on Void’s site at one time, but appears to have been deleted or moved. That is because Richard didn’t make the solution booklet. The friggin’ FBI saw no merit in it and most definitely finger printed Richard.

Evidence against: Richard had never gone to prison nor had he been shown to commit violent acts. You would think that someone like the Zodiac Killer would have been to prison for violent acts or something like stalking. Oh wait…

Richard was in the army. The government has his fingerprints on file. They don’t need a warrant. They can just get from his military files. Read that pdf and you can see that there were a lot of suspects where they mention getting fingerprints from their military records.
